Charter of the National Association of Indigenous Peoples (NAIP)
On this day, the National Association of Indigenous Peoples (NAIP) is hereby established and made public, in recognition of the enduring presence, heritage, and sovereignty of the Indigenous peoples of the American continents.
The purpose of this Association is to advance education, cultural preservation, and historical truth, while fostering a more balanced and peaceful society that reflects the natural harmony and collective wisdom of humanity.
For generations, our histories have been obscured by misinformation and deliberate erasure. Many have been led to seek their identity on distant shores, unaware of the deep ancestral roots that lie within these very lands. While we acknowledge the diverse origins of all peoples, NAIP affirms that Black and Brown Indigenous peoples existed and thrived across the Americas long before colonization, contributing to a complex and vibrant legacy deserving of honor and restoration.
Therefore, the National Association of Indigenous Peoples is committed to:
• Documenting and preserving the historical and cultural record of Indigenous peoples of African and Native descent across the Americas.
• Promoting awareness and education that accurately reflects our shared past and present.
• Cultivating community and solidarity among descendants and allies who seek truth, connection, and renewal.
This Charter marks the beginning of a new era—one of reclamation, restoration, and unity.
We invite all who share this vision to stand with us, to learn, to teach, and to grow together.
